  • Pub nights in Curlers Organized every two weeks pub night is a best chance to meet all your society mates, have a chat and a refreshing drink. And all this in a friendly atmosphere full of banter. Moreover,regular pub quiz will guarantee loads of entertainment and will be an opportunity to show off your knowledge and thus, win some prizes for you and your team. See you there, on Wednesday in Curlers (Upstairs!). Next pub night: 2nd December at 20.00
  • Movie nights As the history of cinema in Poland is almost as long as a history of cinematography, Polish Society will be proud to present you some works of Polish directors, who are not internationally known. Every second week, one of Polish movies will be screened on university campus in Boyd Orr Building, Lectute Theatre 2 (Level 2), introducing you to the world of Polish cinema and Polish culture.   • Football sessions Despite the fact that weather in Glasgow is not encouraging to any outdoor activities, we have got the solution – indoor football sessions in Stevenson Building. Day of a week to be confirmed. Next football session: 00th xxxx at 00.00

Past events

  • 'The Decade of Solidarity' Exhibition An exhibition celebrating 20th anniversary of the fall of communism in Poland. Organised in The Glasgow University Chapel and Wolfson Building, on 25th to 30th October.
     
  • Independence Day One of the most important dates in the whole Polish history. Celebrated every November 11 th to commemorate Poland’s assumption independent statehood in 1918 after over hundred years. Thus, Polish Society invites you to celebrate it with us on one of the biggest parties in the whole academic year.

  • Bicycle City Tour Before it gets cold and dark we would like to invite all our members to grab a bicycle and join us for the Bicycle City Tour. It’s gonna be a one day trip around Glasgow’s most exiciting spots and parks. Don’t miss it out!
  • Christmas Party Celebrated almost all over the world, but with different customs and in different atmosphere.We will celebrate it with the Polish spirit and traditional Polish cuisine and we expect to see you there as well.
  • Women's Day Every year, March 8 th is the International Women’s Day. For that reason, Polish Society committee organizes a party with loads of surprises and attractions for the fair sex. And it’s all just to show our love to all the women. Be there, take part, have fun!
  • End of term party After whole year of studying and preparing yourself to final exam session, there is time to relax and kick off your holidays with style. Last party in the academic year, and last chance to see all your friends before you come back in September. Isn’t this a good reason for all -night fun with your mates?

However, these are only few parties, you will see us at. We collaborate with the International Society as well and co-organize events such as Halloween, Valentine’s Day and many others.
