Wielka Orkiestra Swiatecznej Pomocy / The Greatest Polish Charity Event! 
Following a very successful first year of activity, Glasgow University Polish Society has decided to make one step forward. With the endless courage, passion and enthusiasm of our members, we want to reach beyond the community of the Glasgow University students by taking part in organisation of the WOSP event in Glasgow!!! All the Poles know of what importance this event is back in Poland. Many of those abroad still contribute to this unique charity phenomenon run so effectively by Jurek Owsiak. For now 17 years the event has been successful non-profit institution collecting the equivalent of around 100 million dollars for the provision of essential medical equipment (mainly for infants and older children) in Polish hospitals. Along with the organisers of the event in Glasgow from two years ago, we want to add the student spirit and create an event that Glasgow has not yet seen! GU PolSoc will be recruiting helpers for this event too. If you want to experience WOSP for real or if you want to get to know trully passionate GU PolSoc crew, come along and help us!
