Get Involved
Get involved in running the Polish Society! It's the opportunity for you to meet a lot of great people, enhance your CV and make a difference!
We are looking for:
Event convenors: help us organise and run the best events on campus.
- Cooking: do you have mad skills with the pan and the bowl? No? Doesn't matter- we'll use all the hands we can get!
- DJ-ing: light up the dance floor with your crazy tunes. People with their own equipment particularly welcome.
- Venue hunting: heard of any great deals around town. Let us know and become our venue hunter.
- Contest preparation: any ideas for games? Help us organise them during our events.
- Event photographer: are you good with a camera? Help us with creating a photo chronicle of all our events!
- Poster designer: unleash your creative side designing posters promoting our events and projects.
- Film nights: are you interested in Polish and British films? Do you have any suggestions as to what we should show during our film nights. This is your opportunity!
Volunteers: make a difference for the local community and gain some great experience for your CV.
- PLUMP: the Polish Language University Mentoring Programme. Our members are helping students of Polish at Glasgow University master the language. If you want to try your hand at teaching Polish - you can get more information on the project page.
- Second language - First Aid! (Drugi język, pierwsza pomoc!): help the children of Polish immigrants to cope at their new British schools. We're looking for people who would help the Polish kids adapt to the new teaching environment and the new language.
