Hello! My name is Pawel Lojko and I am the President of Glasgow University Polish Society. Apart from managing the society, my main duty is to provide the society with a vision and then making sure that this vision is put into practice. I joined the society as I think it is the best society on campus and as I think that I can utilize my varied experience (I was a board member in other societies before) to make GU PolSoc even better! I really enjoy GU PolSoc (or GUPOL as we call it), especially all the opportunities it gives and I hope to see you and get to know you this term!

Siema! Being nr2 often means doing everything without taking the credit for anything. However, in the Glasgow University Polish Society this is not the case. Here, vice-president provides the society with strategic and organised approach to work as well supports all the members of the committee in their duties. Passionate about human development I pursue psychology and economics conjointly exploring the beauty of the world with their models, frameworks, methodologies and paradigms;) Joi di vivere!

Event Coordinator

Michał Stawowy

Hello! As the event coordinator, my responsibility is to offer you all sort of cultural activities, such as parties, pub quizzes or movie nights. I guarantee, you will never get bored in the Polish Society and have a chance to meet your mates on various events in a great atmosphere. Moreover, I am studying Neuroscience, work as a presenter in Subcity radio and enjoy all sort of art, from photography to graphic design. Keep in touch!

Alrite pal! As a project co-ordinator I made sure that PolSoc offers more than enough activities and opportunities to enhance your CV and have fun. This year you will have a chance to make use of your hidden potentials and free time by: teaching or learning Polish, helping Polish emigrants and their children with English language and adjustment in the new environment, networking with Polish graduates who achieved success, and much more! Hey! My name is Nico and I’m the Treasurer of POLSOC. My role typically involves day- to-day bookkeeping, managing the society’s bank account, working with the committee on society projects and above all ensuring the society is financially viable. I joined the society because of its vibrancy, fun filled events/parties & friendly people. The society is up and coming and we have grown significantly over the last year. I’m passionate about the Society and it is an honour to work for such a fantastic society.

Hi, my name is Deni and I am the secretary of the society. My tasks include keeping the committee organised and often assisting others in various society projects and events. I have been a member since I arrived at the university, and this year I have decided to help the society by getting involved!
